BOOK A

BIKE.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

  • Wear sports clothing and no loose trousers please.

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to get properly set up on the bike and be ready to start when the class starts.

  • Latecomers will not be allowed in.

  • Bring a bottle of water or purchase from reception.

  • Please bring a towel (or rent for £1 donation to our choosen charity).

  • Gel saddles are available for purchase (£4 each).

DURING THE CLASS

  • Try to maintain eye contact with the instructor.

  • Cycle as much as possible to the rhythm of the music.

  • If you’re having a hard time, decrease resistance. Resistance which is too low (so you’re cycling too fast) is also not good as this puts strain on your ligaments. Try to feel for a resistance setting that allows you to keep up with the class.

  • Keep yourself hydrated.

  • Don’t worry – you’ll get the hang of it really quickly! It’s even easier than riding a bike!

BEFORE THE CLASS STARTS

  • Select a bike where you can see the instructor clearly. We know newbies like to hide in the back row but the more you can see, the more you can get out of the class.

  • Make yourself known to the instructor if possible. We can give you extra attention and we’d like to get to know you better.

  • Take note of your bike settings in your phone and familiarise yourself with the bike. The three settings are saddle height, saddle position and handlebar height.

  • Ensure your laces are tucked into the cages if you’re not wearing clip in shoes.

  • Place your bags and belongings in the change rooms and valuables in the lockers provided. Items should be kept away from the bike as these can get caught in the wheels and are a tripping hazard.

AFTER THE CLASS

  • Set the bike back to neutral which involves dropping the handlebars down and the saddle down.

  • Wipe down the bike with the antibacterial wipes which we offer.

  • Don’t forget to congratulate yourself for a job well done!
